Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris will present "Rembrandt in Confidence," showcasing works by the Dutch master, from September 16, 2016 through January 23, 2017. Rembrandt was one of the greatest artists of his era, and excelled in painting, engraving, and drawing.20 pictures and 30 graphic works will be on display. The exhibition aims to explore the artist’s stylistic evolution and highlight the intimate aspects of his creative process. Rembrandt’s work is a balance of extreme realism complemented by mysticism. In numerous studies executed throughout the span of his life, he represented his friends and family members on his canvases and perfected the art of the self-portrait.The selected drawings and engravings in the exhibition complement each other, and will allow the viewer to discover Rembrandt all over again.
