The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, and the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen, Munich are hosting “Renaissance and Reformation: German Art in the Age of Dürer and Cranach” at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from November 20, 2016, through March 26, 2017.The exhibition marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 putting on display masterpieces from the collections of the three largest museum entities in Germany. The exhibition comprises a range of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and precious objects creating a complex portrait of a pivotal time in history.
