Kode Art Museums of Bergen, Norway presents “Rasmus Meyer Collection” on view through December 31, 2019.Rasmus Meyer, who was known as one of the first collectors of Edvard Munch’s art, also purchased paramount works from all periods of Munch’s legacy. In today’s era, perhaps it is world’s most important collections of Munch’s art. You can find masterpieces such as ‘Jealousy,’ ‘Melancholy,’ ‘The Woman in Three Stages’ and ‘Evening on Karl Johan.’ In 1917, Rasmus Meyer’s children donated their father’s collection of art and historical furniture to the city of Bergen. Acquired by Kode museum, the donation comprises one of the finest collections of art from the Norwegian ‘golden age’ (1880–1905).The permanent display will be at Kode 3, Rasmus Meyers allé 9, 5015 Bergen, Norway.
