The ongoing exhibition, 'Impressions of War', by Spanish painter and printmaker Francisco de Goya ends on December 4, 2016. It's your last opportunity to check out the works by one of the most seminal Spanish Old Masters. The show will feature the painter’s print series 'Disasters of War', as well as a fascinating series of prints by artists who were affected by the atrocities of war. An example would be Jacques Callot’s 'Miseries of War' that was influential in creating a tradition that inspired several artists, Goya being one of them. Keep an eye out for the most contemporary work in the exhibition, titled 'Amman Portfolio', 2006, by Daniel Heyman. The eight descriptive dry point portraits are accompanied by content from interviews the artist witnessed of Iraqis who were detained in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The show is on view at Saint Louis Art Museum, 1 Fine Arts Dr, St. Louis, MO 63110, United States. For details, visit, www.slam.orgClick on the Slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
