Last Chance: Valentin de Boulogne at The Met, New York

The ongoing exhibition of Valentin de Boulogne, titled 'Beyond Caravaggio', at Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), New York, will end on January 22, 2017. The exhibition is the first monographic show dedicated to Valentin de Boulogne, one of the prominent artists of 17th century Europe, who emerged as one of the most vital figure of new, naturalistic painting post Caravaggio’s death. It brings together 45 of around 60 paintings created by de Boulogne during his short-lived career, with works from Rome, Vienna, Munich, Madrid, London, and Paris - exceptionally, the Louvre Museum, which possesses the most important and extensive body of Valentin's works.The exhibition is on view at Gallery 999 of The Met Fifth Avenue, 1000 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10028, USA.
